Más vale tarde que nunca...

Finalment he acabat el mitjó que havia començat! M'ha quedat una mica raro, la linea de punts a la punta no m'ha quedat al costat, pero li dona un estil! El segon ja veurem quan el començo! Pero bueno, un mitjó val més que cap!

Finally I finished the sock that I began! It looks a little bit weird, there is a line in the middle of the sock, and not on the side but it gives some style to the sock. We will see when I will begin the other one!  But better a sock than no sock!

Platjes, mar, flors i més

3 setmanes passen ràpid i ja hem tornat a casa! Han estat tres setmanes de platja, peixos, sorra, sol (de tant en tant) i flors.  I apart de molts bons records i moltes fotos, hem portat també unes teles de flors. Aquestes teles les utilitzen a Nouvelle Caledonie com a regal pels jefes quan es visita una tribu. Jo ja estic pensant quines altres idees puc tenir per fer amb aquestes teles!

3 weeks go by very quickly and we are back home! Those have been 3 weeks of beaches, sand, fisches, sun (from time to time) and flowers. And apart from good memories and a lot of pictures, we have also brought back some fabrics. In New Caledonia they used them as a gift to the chief when they visit a tribe. I'm already thinking what other uses I can have for those fabrics!

Vacances!!

Per fi marxo de vacances! Estaré tres setmanes fora i espero tornar amb tot de teles de estil tropical!

Finally I'm going on holidays! I'll be out three weeks and I hope to come back with a lot of tropical fabrics!

I don't like reggae, I love it...

Aquest és el Slouchy Beret de Raverly, pero jo li dic el meu "reggae hat" :-). He utilitzat agulles de doble punta de 7mm . Podria haver utilitzat agulles més gran, m'hagués quedat una mica més gran i "penjaria" una mica més per darrera!

This is the Slouchy Beret from Raverly, but I called it my "reggae hat" :-) . I  used dpn of 7mm . I could have used bigger needles, it would have been a little more slouchy then !

Jersey

Aquest jerseit tant mono no l'he fet jo sinó una amiga! Però he pensat que valia la pena afegir-lo al blog, perqué li ha quedat molt bé!

This very cute small pullover isn't done by me, but comes from one of my friends! It looked so nice, that I had to put it on the blog!

Gorro

He acabat el "Hurricane Hat"! Tot i alguns problemes que vaig tenir (punts que s'em van escapar i altres... gràcies a la meva mare ho vaig recuperar :-), el gorro no queda malament. Si te'l mires a la mà, es veuen molts els forats pero posat queda bastant bé. Li vaig afegir una espècie de flor que vaig fer amb una punta negra i estic bastant orgullosa del resultat!

I finished the Hurricane Hat! Despite some problems that I had with some stitches (thanks to my mum I could recuperate that), the hat doesn't look bad! If you look at it carefully, you can see some holes and so, but if you wear it, it looks fine! I added a sort of flower done with a black stripe that I had and I'm quite happy with the result.  I already started a new hat, with thicker yarn, should be quick... 

Huricanne Hat

No ho he pogut evitar i com els mitjons que estic fent no m'apassionen i estava una mica desmotivada, he començat el HuricanneHat (vaig trobar el patró a Raverly). Quan vaig començar em pensava que la llana era massa prima (llana Merino Alpaca, Agulles del 4.5) i que no es veuria la tira que va girant, però si que es veu! 


I couldn't avoid it and as I wasn't very motivated with the socks I was doing, I started the Hurricanne Hat (I found the pattern in Raverly). When I started I thought that the yarn would be too thin for those needles (yarn Merino Alpaca, 4.5 DPN) an that the stitch that goes around the hat would not be seen, but you can see it! 

Mitjons

He començat un nou parell de mitjons, aquesta vegada normals (no tindran els dits separats). La llana no es la més maca, pero es una que vaig comprar abans de fer la comanda per internet i la volia aprofitar. Les fotos son de diferents dies :-)
I have began a new pair of socks, this time normal ones (they will not have the toes separated). The yarn is not the nicest one, but I bought that one before buying more on the internet and as I was looking for a soft one, I didn't have much choice on the colors. I'm using double 2.5mm  pointed needles, which makes the knitting of the socks a little bit longer than the previous ones...

Comprar llana per Internet

Acabo de rebre la meva primera comanda de llana per internet. Vaig estar mirant quina era la millor llana per fer mitjons (busco una llana prima i agradable, de manera a poder fer servir els mitjons que vaig que sino son molt gruixuts!). Vaig llegir que Koigu i Lorna's Laces eren els millors i vaig fer la comanda a www.laine-et-tricot.com. El paquet em va arribar molt ràpid! Una llàstima que la llana Lorna es més verda que grisa...
I just received my first yarn order over internet. I was reading was the best yarn was for socks (I'm looking for something thin and comfortable to wear everyday). I read that Koigu and Lorna's Laces where the best and I did order some on www.laine-et-tricot.com. The order came very quick! Just a pity that the Lorna's Laces where more green than what I expected...
